Activities, Clubs & Holiday Camps

King’s House School Sports Ground is home to a range of sports clubs, activities and teams.

Over 100 different clubs use the ground for their training and home fixtures in a range of sports including hockey, football, rugby, athletics, netball, and lacrosse. Local schools use the site for their PE lessons and fixtures.

Sports camps also take place during the school holidays.

Civil Service Football Club

The Civil Service Football Club have 11 sides for all abilities, genders and ages. At present, the club runs eight men’s teams in the Southern Amateur League playing 11 aside matches on a Saturday afternoon. The 3 highest teams compete in London wide divisions and the 4s to 8s play in the South London divisions. The club have a women’s team and an over 35’s men’s vets team.

London Wayfarers Hockey Club

King’s House is the home of London Wayfarers Hockey Club. Founded in August 1989 in Battersea, the club have gone from strength to strength since their beginnings and are now the largest hockey club in the UK with over 1,500 members.

The club train and play matches at the site six days a week and currently have more than 400 senior members in 19 senior sides (nine men’s, nine ladies and a mixed team) including both first teams in the National League and a Back to Hockey programme. In January 2010 the club introduced a junior section and now have over 1000 junior members.

Excel Sports

Excel Sports are our partner football provider at the site. Excel Sports offer an extensive football programmes from beginners to advanced development programmes, Excel FC teams, holiday clubs and birthday parties on site. Excel FC play in the Middlesex Junior and Youth Football League. Excel use the 3G pitch seven days a week as part of their extensive offer catering for boys and girls.

London Scottish Rugby

We are delighted that London Scottish Juniors and Seniors both train at King’s House School Sports Ground. Founded in 1878, the club compete in the RFU Championship.

CSR 1863 Rugby Club

CS Stags 1863 (formerly the Civil Service Rugby Club) are one of the longest standing clubs at King’s House and play in the London & South East Premier League. The Club was one of the founders of the Surrey RFU in 1879, and has been a member of the Middlesex RFU since the 1880s.

King's Tennis Centre

King’s Tennis Centre offers adult tennis membership, one on one coaching, group coaching and pay and play tennis options at King’s House Sports Ground. They operate on four acrylic courts and two AstroTurf courts all year around. King’s Tennis Centre offers one on one coaching with LTA Level 4 tennis coaches for beginners to advanced players.

From Wednesday 10 November all court and adult clinic bookings must now be booked under the software ‘My Courts’ which you can subscribe to by clicking here or by visiting the King’s Tennis Centre website.

Grenfell Athletic FC

King’s House Sports Ground is proud to be the home to Grenfell Athletic FC. The club was founded by Rupert Taylor in the aftermath of the Grenfell Fire in 2017 as a way to help young men in the local community come together after the tragedy. Grenfell Athletic joined the Middlesex County Football League in September 2017, and are now in their third season. You can read more about the club’s story here.

Holiday Camps

Excel Sports run football and multi sports holiday camps at the grounds during the main school breaks, including Easter, Christmas and October Half Term. For more information please click here.
